A BRANCH CONFERENCE OF THE “OPEN SCIENCE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE WAS ORGANIZED
SCIENCE NAADAM-2025, a conference on “Open Science and Sustainable Development” initiated by the Graduate School of the State University of Science and Technology, was held on May 9, 2020 at the Shangri-La Hotel Conference Hall.
The main session was productive with 170 participants representing the Parliament, the Constitutional Court, state ministries, regulatory agencies, state-owned companies, business, banking, healthcare, higher education, and innovative startups.
Today (2025.05.16) the Financial Market Research Institute’s “Financial Market and Sustainable Development” sub-session was held at the MSE hall of the Mongolian Stock Exchange.
The session consisted of the following sub-sections:
Stock Market and Sustainable Development
Insurance Market and Sustainable Development
Non-Banking Financial Market and Sustainable Development, and the management and representatives of the Mongolian Stock Exchange, the Financial Regulatory Commission, the Mongolian Securities Market Authority, the Insurance Sector, and NBFIs presented keynote speeches and held discussions.
B. Bujinlham, Director of the Advanced School of the Mongolian Stock Exchange, opened the event by saying:
"The main topic of today's session is the Financial Market and Financial Market Research, one of the strategic priorities of the Mongolian Stock Exchange. This is not just a topic that is difficult to understand scientifically and is disconnected from life. It is an important topic that requires joint solutions through multi-faceted participation and research. Therefore, this session will bring together scientists, industry experts, and students to discuss this topic."
During this session, T. Khash-Erdene, Director of the Business Development Department of the Mongolian Stock Exchange, delivered a speech on the topic of "Capital Market Participation in Sustainable Development."
He provided detailed information on the following sub-topics within the main topic, in line with government policies and decisions, on the policy measures that can be implemented by the Mongolian Stock Exchange in the following sub-topics.
These include:
Issuing additional shares of the bank through the stock exchange
Intensifying the IPO process of state-owned companies
Improving the economic benefits of strategically important deposits
Pension reform and professional investors
Introducing shares of “Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi” JSC into economic circulation
Activities aimed at sustainable development goals
Information on reporting on the implementation of green bonds and the GNI standard was summarized.
